Like most Philadelphians, we were thrilled when the DNC picked Philly to host their convention.  Over 50,000 people came to Philadelphia to nominate the Democratic candidate, and since we were involved in numerous events for the occasion, the last week in July proved to be a busy week for Eventions.

On the night before the convention started, over 12,000 members of the press and distinguished guests descended on Citizens Bank Park, home of our Philadelphia Phillies, for a welcome party.  Eventions supplied a 30’ interactive video wall that displayed social media posts from the attendees in real time. We also provided audio and lighting for 5 stages of entertainment spread out throughout the ballpark. In addition, we built two grand entranceways for an exciting impact as the guests entered the party. These entrance arches were fitted with custom printed artwork and then lit for dramatic effect at night.

Aside from the DNC Media Party, Eventions also provided various levels of support for 25 additional events during the DNC week.  We supported parties in distinguished venues like the Union League and the Logan Hotel. We also supplied over 30 different video screens in numerous locations throughout the city for watch parties of the actual convention.

The reading terminal was the scene for 5 events during the week, culminating with a 3,500 person event featuring President Bill Clinton, campaigning to be the first First Gentleman.
