Director of Event Technology
Eventions Productions, a leading event production company based in Philadelphia is searching for a Director of Event Technology to manage the newest, premier venue in Philadelphia. Join the excitement as we help open a new-to-market venue with nothing but the best technology onsite.
The Director is responsible for managing the day to day audio visual duties and operations for the entire venue including a 350 person ballroom, 5 boardrooms/meeting spaces, an in-house screening room/cinema and outdoor event space.
This opportunity is perfect for a self starter with an entreprenural spirit. You will be helping to build a new operation in a new venue without the stuffiness and corporate redtape of some big hotel AV providers.
Job Duties:
- Interact with the venue team to maximize effectiveness of our sales and service and exceed customer’s expectations
- Responsible for the management and daily setup and strike of the audio visual equipment for meetings and events
- Manage Audio Visual Technicians from the home office, as needed
- Inventory control
- Timely and accurate billing and invoicing
- Interface with operational departments
- Maintain high visibility within assigned location
Basic Qualification/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years Director of Audio Visual experience in a hotel or event space environment.
- Previous Audio Visual Technician work experience and working knowledge of audio visual operations is required. Candidate must be proficient in audio, video, and basic lighting technology.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be a good communicator and motivator
- Excellent computer/IT skills and customer service skills
- Professional demeanor and presentation. The location is a sophisticated venue and the candidate must adhere to strict appearance requirements.
- Articulate in communicating ideas, concepts, and directions clearly and concisely
- Must be able to manage and work with others on many different levels
- Crestron experience is a big plus.
