What’s the difference between an AV company and a Production Design company?

As a meeting planner, event producer or individual putting on an event, you have many choices when putting together your team to execute the event. Choosing the correct provider for your audio visual and production needs will play an instrumental part in the success of your event.

AV Company

Your typical AV company, especially one that is in-house at a hotel or venue will set up and run the equipment necessary for the event, but their responsibilities end there.  The AV company will play no role in the event’s multimedia, messaging or overall look and feel.   The responsibilities and more importantly, the capabilities end at their ability to hook up and operated the equipment that you ordered. This is the bare minimum of event production… making sure that the equipment works.

More than an A/V company, we’re a Event Production Design Company!

An Event Production Design Company (That’s US!)

As the old saying goes, there is no “I” in team. The best teams are made up of collaborative partners that are intimately involved with your event. A Production Design Company like Eventions is a resource and team partner to you when  producing your event. By becoming a partner and resource for you, we can offer creative options and designs, share our experience and network and tailor your messaging to engage and entertain your audience. We call it “Corporate Theater” and it is Theater. The same magic, suspense and suspension of disbelief in theater can be delivered to your audience at your event.  If you present your message to your audience when their mind is open and you engage them – if you respect the fact that they are giving you their time by engaging them, your audience’s ‘buy in” will be much deeper.   Compare this to the “press play” approach of an AV company and you will see how different your next event can be!
